Effective 2026-08-29. These are the terms for using this website and the free Surface Risk Score tool. They are separate from the SEB Engagement Terms, which govern paid security assessments and only apply once you've signed an authorization form.
The free Surface Risk Score
The free Surface Risk Score report is generated from a single, passive, robots.txt-respecting fetch of your public homepage (see how it works). It reports observed surface signals and general advisory content. It is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, and is not a substitute for an authorized security assessment. It is not a certification, guarantee, or complete assessment of your system's security posture.
Acceptable use
You may not use this site to attempt to gain unauthorized access to SEB's systems, scrape the site at abusive rates, or misrepresent your identity when engaging SEB for services. SEB reserves the right to decline any engagement.
Intellectual property
The content, design, and copy of this site are owned by SEB (Secure Environment Basics). Reports generated for you (free or paid) are yours to use for your own internal purposes; SEB retains ownership of its underlying methodology and tooling.
No warranty, limitation of liability
This site and the free Surface Risk Score are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SEB is not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on the free Surface Risk Score. Paid engagements are governed separately by the SEB Engagement Terms, which include their own liability provisions.
